Owner, Polyhedron Projects

Narin

Sundarabhaya

Principal engineer for products that need real ownership.

I build and run software products, data systems, and AI tools. Clients work directly with me, and I stay accountable once the work is in production.

What I build

Product engineering

I build web and mobile products, including the backend, data model, and interface. I stay on after launch.

Data systems

I connect source systems, build warehouses and transformation jobs, and add checks that catch stale or broken data before it reaches a report.

AI tools

I build agents and natural-language tools that respect permissions, log what they do, and ask for approval before making sensitive changes.

Keeping products running

I take responsibility for the unglamorous parts too. That includes infrastructure, authentication, billing, search, monitoring, and the services that keep a product running.

About me

Narin Sundarabhaya

I own Polyhedron Projects, and I am the principal engineer on every engagement. The work usually crosses product, data, and infrastructure. My clients want one engineer to handle all of it.

Right now, I am building a commercial real estate investment platform, a marketing data system, and an invite-only professional network. I also co-founded Parscape. As CTO and sole engineer, I run its web and mobile apps, backend, and infrastructure.

I became an engineer in 2017 after a decade in sales, staffing, and management. That earlier career still shapes how I work. I scope projects with the people paying for them, explain trade-offs plainly, and build around real business constraints.

I split my time between Los Angeles and Bangkok. Away from work, I am usually at a gallery or a coffee shop. I spent more than a decade as a professional DJ, so I still pay far too much attention to the music in the room.

Selected work

2026 - Present

Marketing data platform

One reporting system for paid media and first-party data

  • BigQuery
  • Dataform
  • Cloud Run
  • MCP

I built the agency's reporting system, bringing paid-media and first-party data into one reporting model.

Role: Sole engineer and AI workflow engineer

Account teams use the system to review performance and decide where to move budget.

What I owned
  • Built and operated the ingestion jobs, transformations, quality checks, and reports as one production system.
  • Added freshness checks that stop stale data before account teams see it in a report.
  • Added a restricted chat interface for the campaign questions account teams ask every week.

2024 - Present

Commercial real estate investment platform

A six-repository product takeover

  • AWS
  • React
  • FastAPI
  • PostgreSQL

I took over six production repositories after the previous team left without documentation or a handoff. I kept the product running, learned the system from the code, and rebuilt the pieces that were blocking new features.

Role: Sole engineer

The new pipeline removed about 1,440 idle Lambda invocations each day.

What I owned
  • Designed the property data model and ingestion layer, then built ETL for deal management, comparables, and external data.
  • Built the chat interface, dashboards, data enrichment, and administration for multiple tenants.
  • Replaced idle polling with event-driven Step Functions fan-out.

2023 - Present

Parscape

Golf discovery across web and mobile

  • Next.js
  • React Native
  • Shopify
  • Algolia

I co-founded Parscape and built the entire product, including course and business search, commerce, rewards, events, and mobile apps.

Role: CTO, co-founder, and sole engineer

Parscape reaches about 3,900 monthly visitors. About 70% come from organic search, with no paid marketing spend.

What I owned
  • Set up Shopify and Storyblok as the shared commerce and content systems for the web and mobile apps.
  • Indexed thousands of courses, simulators, learning centers, and retailers into Algolia search.
  • Built the customer assistant and Caddy, an internal agent that requires human approval before it changes production data.

2024 - 2025

Consumer credit and identity platform

Credit-report signup with identity verification

  • Next.js
  • AWS Lambda
  • PCI DSS
  • Experimentation

I built and ran a multi-step credit-report signup flow on Next.js and AWS Lambda. It handled identity verification and sensitive personal data.

Role: Sole engineer

One 14-day form-field test lifted conversion 54% across all devices, 68.6% on mobile, and 40% on desktop. The flow handled about 6,000 monthly transactions.

What I owned
  • Integrated knowledge-based authentication and handled PII across the transaction flow.
  • Wrote the PCI DSS v4.0 control documentation and fixed findings from security audits and stress tests.
  • Ran weekly experiments across desktop and mobile, then used the results to change the form and funnel.

2024 - Present

Professional network for senior creatives

Software for an invite-only member community

  • Next.js
  • React
  • Supabase
  • Drizzle

I picked up an invite-only professional network that had sat untouched for a year and launched it as the sole engineer.

Role: Sole engineer and architect

The product moved from a year-long pause to production in three weeks.

What I owned
  • Designed the schema and set up authentication, billing, staging, and production.
  • Built onboarding, member profiles, a filterable directory, messaging, and expert content.
  • Broke the post-launch roadmap into six features that could ship one at a time.

2023

Jiso.ai

Self-service sales and delivery for AI portraits

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Stripe

I built the self-service storefront for an AI portrait product, including account management, Stripe payments, and image-pack downloads.

Role: Founding developer

The product replaced manual fulfillment with a complete purchase and delivery flow.

What I owned
  • Designed the data model and built account management, the storefront, and Stripe checkout.
  • Connected image-generation workers to edge functions for batch processing and live results.
  • Added administration tools and localization support for multiple markets.

2020 - 2023

Alpha.io

Integration work for a configurable analytics product

  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Data integrations

I built the integrations that pulled ad-platform, warehouse, spreadsheet, and Slack data into Alpha's analytics product.

Role: Software Engineer II, then III

That integration work is what led me into the data systems I build today.

What I owned
  • Owned integrations and OAuth flows for Google Ads, Facebook Marketing, BigQuery, Snowflake, Google Sheets, and Slack.
  • Led the TypeScript migration across the React frontend and Node backend, and added Zod validation where data entered the system.
  • Shipped production LLM features in 2023, including AI-assisted SQL repair and TypeChat prompts.
